Freddy Riley

Freddy takes his coffee black but doesn't mind a little sugar and creamer. Prefers black, but doesn't care either way. Coffee is coffee.

Freddy doesn't care about what others think about him or call him. Or... He doesn't let what he truly thinks show. They present bunself as an arrogant and coldhearted bitch who doesn't care about you or anyone. But just like anyone else, Freddy has feelings. Deep down, he does care about what people think. He just doesn't think that he has enough time to change/ he thinks that change is embarrassing.

Freddy had a pet bunny growing up! He was bullied a lot for his teeth as a child so he was given a little bunny that he named Sprinkles to help him cope with it. Like, "Look, Freddy! It's okay! You aren't alone!"

Pretty unathletic. Claims that he can carry just about anything but in reality would struggle carrying a stack of books ASJNKDJNDKJNF

Loses his glasses sometimes but only because he takes them off when looking at his phone and then gets distracted, completely forgetting where they are- when they could be on top of his head or smth. (if this isn't modern au, then he does the same just with books)

Will do anything and everything it takes to prove himself right. Stays up late studying and researching EVERYTHING he possibly can. Even when they are heading down the path where they are starting to look wrong or incorrect, they do not give up until they have come to a conclusion.

Adding onto the staying up late one with this: Bun has trouble admitting that they are wrong and has even more trouble apologizing. But when bun does do these things, he is genuine.

Taken aback GREATLY when someone is nice to him or supportive of him, especially when he doesn't know them well. He gets uncomfortable with this sort of thing mainly due to his own insecurities and he often sees this sort of thing as antagonistic or manipulative behavior. The "They're being nice to me because they want something. Well fuck them!" sort of thing. That does not excuse his outbursts at all, it only explains why they happen.

Freddy uses last names when referring to people, only using their first names when he is closer to them

Although he doesn't always celebrate his birthday, he does like the attention and free gifts.

He's a bit of a romantic lol.. he will likely use pet names like "darling", "dear", "my beloved" for his s/o. He can also be affectionate when he's in a good mood .. like cuddly? Depends. But not so big on PDA. The furthest he'd go is hand holding or use of pet names.. maybe some "i love you"s.

Before romantic relationships develop and even WHEN they become official, it is important to note that Freddy is in a lot of denial. He will constantly go on about Martha and how he feels like he is betraying her by dating someone else. If someone flirts with him or if he flirts with someone else, expect Freddy to not only get flustered and emotional but also to get a bit angry with himself. He'll likely remind you that he had a wife. had a wife.

Adding onto that hc here. Martha canonically left Freddy before her death, but Freddy still feels the need to avenge her and remind himself of the good memories on a daily basis. I feel like he could still be in a deep stage of denial, or at least far from acceptance and the ability to move on.

If you actually want a relationship with Freddy, it is advised that you don't give up. Freddy is RUDE. He will be rude and cold to you, even if he likes you. That's just his personality. Be persistent. It doesn't take long for Freddy to warm up to someone. You might even catch him slipping up on his cold demeanor by being genuinely sweet with you.

After a bond is formed and he is attached to you, he will become a little protective of you. He wants to make sure that you are healthy and taking care of yourself because he doesn't want to lose you... he kind of struggles with the whole loss of his wife. If he loses you, whether you are a friend or a love interest, he will feel heartbroken.

Emma and Freddy hc time!!! Gotta love stepdaughter and stepfather bonding!! Freddy actually cares about Emma and doesn't think negatively of her. Meaning, she's one of the only people who Freddy doesn't treat awfully automatically.

They like getting matches with Emma because it makes Freddy feel proud of both bunself and their stepdaughter when they win. Especially when rescuing and bodyblocking for eachother. It makes Freddy feel important.

If you have something bad to say about Emma, Freddy will step in and... probably not do much. He wants to protect his loved ones and all, but he's still built like a fuckin twink.

To wrap this up for now they play uno together. yes, thats the headcanon.
